Dear Zahid,
Most of us returned on Saturday, with no particular mishaps to report. Tim went on to Turkey to take a group to Gallipoli for Anzac Day, ( in case you don't know, that's an important day for us to commemorate our war dead, especially those who died at Gallipoli in the first world war).
We had a good trip through the other "stans", Xianjang and Chengdu, but we all agree that the highlight was Uzbekistan, the best guide was Zahid and the best drivers Jabba and Dul... (sorry, I had trouble with the name of the other driver and have forgotten it. My apologies.)
I have had my photos developed. The one of the old man in the square in Tashkent is good, and I will get a copy taken to send to you.
